PROJECT HOST SOUP KITCHEN-SERVICE OPPORTUNITY
Join us as we serve at Project Host Soup Kitchen in Downtown Greenville. Sign up for one date or select several dates to serve. When you arrive put on an apron and plan to jump right in cooking and preparing the days meal under the direction of a crew chief. Jobs include washing dishes, cutting vegetables, making soup, pealing shrimp and restocking shelves. This is an industrial working kitchen so young children will not be eligible to attend. Strollers are not permitted. Students must be able to handle knives and follow directions in an active kitchen (not recommended for students under 10 years). Arrive at 9:00am and plan to cook, serve and clean up till 1:00pm. Due to limited space we ask parents to refrain from serving unless we have students who can?t attend at the last minute. You can drop off students or bring a book and stay in the serving area (not in the kitchen). The kitchen is counting on us to serve so please register ONLY if you are committed to attending. Last minute cancelations cause the kitchen to be short handed. Next date: March 20

All Parents and teens are invited to join other Vanguard families for "Praying Parents? each Tuesday morning from 9:00-9:15. 2023-2024 Open House for Next Year is March 7, 2023

Vanguard is pleased to welcome new families for the 2023-2024 school year. Please plan to attend Open House to meet staff, teachers and other Vanguard Families. Registration Fee Discount available this one day only for families that attend.

PROM 2023: April 13, 2023 VHA hosts The Homeschool Prom but attendance is open to all homeschoolers. Space is limited so be sure to register early. Prom is open to all local area homeschool students age 15 and up who are also in 9th grade and up. We have been sponsoring The Homeschool Prom since 2012 at Holly Tree and moved to Green Valley in 2020.

Summer Events

Meet and Greet: May  at Falls Park, Downtown Greenville. Meet and Greet is for families that have registered for fall 2022 to meet other participating families. If you plan to join us for 2022-2023 we would love a chance to meet you. 

BETA CLUB: Membership in National Beta Club available for students in 9th grade and above. State Convention in February is required and National Convention in the summer is available.

Summer Meet and Greets: Meets us and get to know more about Vanguard at our summer Meet and Greet events throughout the summer. Email us to sign up for an event. vanguardsc@charter.net 

STUDENT COUNCIL: High School students may participate in Student Council.

ICE CREAM DAY: Fall event at lunch. Students enjoy ice cream and all the toppings that will fit in a cup!

SEE YOU THE POLE: Students meet for a special prayer event.

CORN MAZE: October event for all families. Join us at the Anderson maze for a full day of fun and education. All families come for hay rides, bounce houses and plenty of fall fun. 

FALL FESTIVAL: Games and activities for students of all ages!

HISTORY MUSEUM FIELD TRIP:  Meet at the History museum in downtown Greenville for 2 terrific tours.

SPIRIT DAY: Each year our Student Council selects a theme for the day and students, teachers and volunteers are encouraged to come wearing appropriate attire. Past themes have been Crazy Hat and Wacky Tacky, Celebrate the Decades and Character Day,

DEFY (former Gravitopia): Social for all students and families. Discounted group rate to spend 90 minutes of extended jump time!

AQUARIUM OVERNIGHT: Join us for a night with the sharks at the Ripley's Aquarium in TN. Trip includes a dissection, exclusive night tour, snacks and breakfast and a full day admission to the aquarium.

VALENTINE PARTY: Celebrate Valentines with us as students age 11 and under exchange valentines and enjoy a party with games and crafts. Teens will have a pizza party exclusively for them from 12:30-1:00pm as well as some additional treats. 

WINTER SOCIAL: The Student Council plans and hosts a teen social each January. This has become a favorite event for all our teens!
